Michael Matthews
CEO of Nonprofit Engineers
With over 35 years of experience in nonprofit management, Michael brings invaluable expertise to the table. Michael is the CEO of Nonprofit Engineers and of P5 Ventures, leading both specializing in business development, training, and project management. During his tenure, Michael increased the annual average budget from $2,000,000 to $9.000.000 and has also served on several grant review committees distributing collectively over $50,000,000. Michael has worked collaboratively with a number of philanthropic foundations government officials at the local, regional, state and federal levels, leadership from a diverse mix of nonprofit leadership, as well as several urban and suburban school districts. Michael is also a consultant and instructor with the Non Profit Center at the La Salle School of Business, the oldest University based Nonprofit Center in the US, and is leading the nonprofit development in the Cleveland State University Center for Public and Non Profit Management. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Michael received his Bachelors of Arts and Masters of Liberal Studies from the University of Miami, Florida, a Certificate in Non Profit Management from Case Western Reserve University, a Certificate in Executive Leadership and Community Coaching from Coachnet Global and a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University
